Advanced search enables you to precisely define your enquiry; you can do it by filling the following form fields.

Please remember that advanced search mechanism fields are combined:
  • Person seen In the photo - conjunction "and"
  • Directing - conjunction "or"
  • For “Genre” - by conjunction "or"
On the other hand, all fields in the advanced search mechanism are combined by the conjunction "and"

You can select the title of a film, series, episode, or film short story from the index and combine with other categories, e.g. a photo from the film “Małżeństwo z rozsądku” (title), colour (photo colour), of Daniel Olbrychski and Elżbieta Czyżewska (peop
Person seen In the photo
You can select persons pictured alone or with others; you should fill in an empty field and click “+” to add the second and, if needed, third name.
Directing
Subject heading
You can enter a keyword related to a given photograph; using the “+” button you can add up to three words describing one photograph, e.g. rewia [revue], taniec [dance], dancing, and combine them with other categories, e.g. person in the photo
Function
You can select a function played in a film and combine it with another category, e.g. person in the photo or film genre
Kind of photo
You can select a category from the index, e.g. test photo, and combine it with other categories or leave “any”
Photo character
You can select a function played in a film and combine it with another category, e.g. person in the photo or film genre
Signature
You can type or copy the signature of a specific photo
Place
You can choose a place from the index, e.g. Cracow, France, the Tatra Mountains, and combine it with other categories, e.g. person in the photo, photograph type or name (e.g. the Old Town)
Name
Release dates from - to
You can select a specific release date or release date range and combine it with other categories, e.g. person in the photo, director, genre
Role/dt>
You can select a role, e.g. railwayman, postman and combine it with films of a given director featuring a person in the photo
Film genre
You can select a genre from the index (or two genres, using the “+” button), and combine it with other categories or leave “any”
Kind of movie
You can select a genre from the index (or two genres, using the "+" button), and combine it with other categories or leave "any"
Excludes
Select a field from the index and enter a fragment or term (the “phrase” field) that should not be shown together with criteria selected above, e.g. colour group photographs from films of a given director without a given actor
